Introduction & Who We Are

Fullimedia (fullimedia.com.co) is an independent English-language daily editorial publication established in 2026. We are operated by the Fullimedia editorial team. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit or interact with our site, how we use it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have over it.

We built Fullimedia as a privacy-respecting publication. We do not run advertising networks, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell your personal data to anyone.

If you have questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].

Information We Collect

We collect only the information described below. We do not collect data beyond these categories.

Newsletter and Daily Brief Signups

If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter or daily editorial brief, we collect your email address. Providing your email is entirely voluntary. We use it only to send you the content you requested.

Contact and Pitch Emails

When you email us at any of our public addresses — for example, to submit a story pitch, send a reader letter, or make a data-rights request — we receive the content of that message along with the email address and any other information you choose to include. We use these communications only to respond to you and to carry out any request you make.

Server Access Logs

Our web server automatically records standard access log data when your browser requests a page. This includes your IP address, the type and version of your browser and operating system (user-agent string), the URL you requested, an HTTP response code, and a timestamp. These logs are kept for a limited period for server security, abuse prevention, and aggregate statistical analysis. We do not use these logs to identify or profile individual visitors for marketing purposes.

Theme Preference (Local Storage)

If you switch between light and dark reading modes on Fullimedia, that preference is saved in your browser’s localStorage. This value never leaves your device; it is not transmitted to our servers and it is not a cookie. It exists solely to restore your preferred reading experience on your next visit.

Aggregate Analytics

We may use a privacy-respecting, first-party analytics method to count page views and understand broadly which topics our readers find useful. Any analytics data we collect is aggregated and cannot be used to identify individual visitors. We do not use cross-site tracking technologies or share analytics data with advertising networks.

How We Use the Information We Collect

  • Newsletter email: to deliver the newsletter or daily brief you signed up for, and to process your unsubscribe request when you make one.
  • Contact and pitch emails: to respond to your message, consider your pitch for publication, or fulfil a data-rights request.
  • Server logs: to maintain the security and performance of our infrastructure, detect abuse, and produce aggregate (non-identifying) traffic statistics.
  • Theme preference: to display the site in the reading mode you prefer.
  • Aggregate analytics: to understand overall readership patterns and improve our editorial coverage. No individual is identified.

Cookies and Local Storage

Fullimedia uses very few cookies and no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. For full detail on exactly what we store in your browser and why, please read our Cookie Policy.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your personal data with advertising networks or data brokers. We share information only in the narrow circumstances below.

Service Providers

We use a small number of third-party service providers that process data on our behalf and under our instruction: a hosting provider that operates our servers, an email delivery service used to send the newsletter, and potentially a first-party analytics provider. These providers are contractually restricted from using your data for their own purposes.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if we are required to do so by applicable law, court order, or a legitimate government request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Fullimedia, our readers, or the public.

What We Do Not Do

We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal data with advertisers. We do not run cross-site tracking or contribute to advertising profiles.

Data Retention

  • Newsletter email: retained until you unsubscribe. After you unsubscribe we delete or suppress your address promptly.
  • Contact and pitch emails: retained for a reasonable period necessary to manage ongoing correspondence, after which they are deleted unless there is a continuing legitimate need (for example, a published letter or ongoing legal matter).
  • Server logs: retained for a limited period, typically no longer than 90 days, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
  • Theme preference: stored in your browser’s localStorage. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser storage. It is never stored on our servers.

Your Rights Under GDPR (EU and UK)

If you are located in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights regarding your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent UK legislation. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].

  • Right of access: you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification: you may ask us to correct inaccurate personal data.
  • Right to erasure: you may ask us to delete your personal data where there is no overriding legitimate reason for us to retain it.
  • Right to data portability: where processing is based on your consent or a contract, you may request your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Right to restriction of processing: you may ask us to suspend processing in certain circumstances — for example, while you contest the accuracy of data we hold.
  • Right to object: you may object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including profiling for direct marketing (we do not engage in such profiling).
  • Right to withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent (for example, your newsletter subscription), you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
  • Right to lodge a complaint: you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the EU this is the data protection authority of your member state; in the UK this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Your Rights Under CCPA/CPRA (California)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) gives you additional rights. To exercise them, contact [email protected].

  • Right to know: you may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to delete: you may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain legal exceptions.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing: we do not sell personal information and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. There is nothing to opt out of, but we make this statement for clarity.
  • Right to non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of the rights above.

Children’s Privacy

Fullimedia is not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.

International Data Transfers

Fullimedia is a global English-language publication. Data you provide may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country. Where we transfer personal data from the EU/UK, we take appropriate safeguards in accordance with applicable data protection law.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
